Scream or cry?

No, I'm not talking about Simon...but me. Please don't misunderstand the fact that I love my son. Along with being the biggest blessing in my life, he also keeps me humbled and constantly on my knees before my Savior. Today has been one of those days. So bad that I have been inspired to blog about it! Let's just say that currently, I am under a blanket, laying on our bed, eating chocolate chip cookies and I seem to be completely fine with ignoring the unpacked box jungle and chaos that is our house...plus it's a friday afternoon no less! That is when you know it has been one of those days. One of the greatest things about today is that a good friend from Portland is coming down (she should be here any minute!) and we are going out on the town for dinner, dessert and maybe a little shopping...without kids. Of course I would love to do something like this with my husband, but tonight I need to not be mom. Just for a couple hours. Simon, I love you. We'll have a great day tomorrow, I'm sure. :)

a new idea...

So I realize that I have fallen completely off of the blog train and I don't really feel bad about it. I have, however, decided that I need an outlet for all of the amazing (and frustrating) things Simon does on a daily basis. I am completely freeing myself from any obligation to post on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis. I am going to try to post often thought because despite my wonderful mother's reminders...I have yet to start a baby book. For this reason, I want to have a place that I can document Simon's life (starting at 11 months and 1 week) and since I am on my laptop pretty often these days, a blog seemed like the obvious choice. So, there ya' go... a new idea. :)

Wow, my mom is really bad at this whole blogging thing. Here is my 7 month pic (which was almost a month ago)...thanks mom! Also, here's a pic of Douglas. He thought it would be funny to pretend like it was his birthday too. He's so silly.

6 Month Check Up!

Hi friends and family! Well, even though I'm almost 7 months old (tomorrow...woot woot!), my mom decided to show you all this pic of me when I was 6 months old. I'm getting to be a pretty big boy now. I weighed 20 lbs at my 6 month check-up and I have lots of rolls on my legs that my mom and dad like to smooch. I think it is hilarious when they do that! Anyway, I'm rolling around a lot and sitting up. I'm not quite crawling yet, but don't you worry...I'll be up and moving before you know it. Mom you better hide all of your special things! :) That's all I have to say for now, bye!
